Blown Asphalt
◆ Blown Asphalt
ABA stands for Air Blown Asphalt. It is the product which enhances physical properties of asphalt ( softening point, impact resistance, water resistance, electrical insulation, heat resistance, sensitivity to temperature, etc ), because oxidation polymerization is produced with oxygen and asphalt through reactions at 200 ~ 250 ℃ by adding compressed air into straight asphalt.
Blown asphalt is mainly used as industrial asphalt, because it has high viscosity and softening point. Products are classified on the basis of penetration index.
